Forces of Nature – The Cleansing

Story: A bushfire can be a devastating thing, this artwork depicts the sheer forces of nature when both wind and fire, two of our elements join together and destroy everything in its path. The red and yellow elements represent the intensity of the fire, while the brown sections show what remains of the trees.

Stripped clean of its foliage, the forest land looks all but destroyed, but it is a necessary part of regrowth. Once the fire subsides, and the rains return, so too will the vegetation and the wild life that it helps to sustain.

Our own lives can be like the devastation of fire. If we do not manage our lives with balance of health and well being, along with the stresses of work life, we too can become ravaged. However, sometimes it takes for us to be stripped back to bare bones, before we can truly understand what is most important to us and how we can takes steps to grow.
